Hey everyone, I'm cross posting this here because the Lida community is kind of dead:

Anyone else have no results after a week? Maybe I got fake ones? I bought them off of Amazon, from a seller that was linked in another community. It wasn't from the Suncoast Spa seller but from another one that people said they got legit pills from. I'm a week in and I don't have any of the side effects either (no dry mouth, no eye irritation... not that I wanted these!)

I don't know if I should give them another week to see what happens or if I should abandon them and move onto something else. Granted, I think most people have been exercising while on Lida so that probably helped a lot...

In addition to my job as "maker of the wedding cakes," during my recent trip I added on the task of baking some cupcakes for my nephew's 10th birthday which had passed a few days before.

I had some cute little star-shaped marshmallows an an idea I'd wanted to use for a child's birthday, so full steam ahead I went!

these are just Yellow Cake cupcakes, with chocolate Iceing and white iceing and Star Sprinkles

 

these are Devils food Cupcakes, with white iceing on the top... and i melted chocolate and drizzled it over each one.  This morning when i got up the Chocolate was nice and hard lol. they remind me of Smores LOL

Anyone else have trouble sleeping from Lida? I ask because I just started taking it three days ago and yesterday I slept about six hours total and last night was.. three? four?
Both nights I took a sleeping pill (Lunesta 2mg) as well. This was a pill that was helping wonderfully for a week or so before I started Lida.

If anyone else on it had trouble sleeping, was this a side effect that went away or not?

In any case, I'm going to give this pill 7-10 days trial.
I will stop taking them if
a) I've lost nothing. Right now I fluctuate between 106-108 so I'd say in 7-10 days a clearly significant weight loss would be 102 or 103.
b) I'm unable to sleep
c) I start breaking out badly

so I'm being cautious with taking these pills. That said, I've DEFINITELY noticed the appetite suppression and increased energy :)
Well, I slept 3-6:30am and then I think from 7:30 to 8 and I'm pretty awake now. ugh. That's not enough sleep and I KNOW not sleeping enough is not good for weight loss. However, no point in tossing and turning until noon; I may as well get up and go to the gym..

But please let me know about the sleeplessness thing...I can't believe how little sleep I've gotten and even ON sleeping pills! And I'm not drinking any caffeine in the day.

Hi everyone :) Next Friday is my last day of work at a Japanese restaurant.. and naturally, I wanted to bring cupcakes for everyone. What could be better than those adorable sushi cupcakes I've seen around?! Does anyone who's done this have recommendations for flavor/materials? I want it to be cute but I want all the ingredients to taste good together too.. thanks in advance! :)

I have a couple questions and need your cupcake wisdom!


1. If I dropped a big marshmallow into each cup of cupcake batter and then baked them, how would the marshmallows react? Would they get all delicious, or would they plastify like marshmallows tend to do when you overheat them?

I realize if I want marshmallow-filled cupcakes, I can always pipe marshmallow fluff into the centers, but I'm not really planning on making cupcakes like these. I'm just curious about how this specific method would react.


2. I want to make cupcakes with Pixi Stix poured all over the tops. Will the Pixi Stix stay powdery, or will they absorb the moisture from the icing and turn all melty and runny and colorful? If the second is the case, what other ways could I go about trying to achieve Pixi Stix cupcakes?
